Ray Kroc, a businessman, joined the company in 1955 as an established operator and continued to buy the McDonald's chain from the siblings. In 1953, the Golden Arches logo was unveiled in Phoenix, Arizona. They renamed their business a burger stand and later expanded it into a full-fledged establishment.
